YOUR LIFE
Sometimes as teens we find our selves in a position where we need some guidance. As teens, seeking advice from anyone, let alone adults, seems like the most horrifying thing. We think that maybe they'd judge us because of the life style we chose to live or maybe we feel like they wouldn't even take us seriously because we are "young". Little do they know that we know way more than what they think we do. We too need people to listen to us. If anything, it's super important to listen to our problems, dreams and goals because we are the future. That being said, I found a website that has a collection of blogs that talk about things we teens care about. Things ranging from love, sex, and relationships to faith, morality and spirituality. Since this generation is a generation of "curiosity", I find this website to be the "Bible" to our generation; Especially if you're trying to live on the right path.
This Is The Letter You Deserve, To Tell You That You Deserve More - Elitedaily.comBeing part of Generation Y isn't as simple or as nice as it may seem. A lot of people tend to either praise our generation for being able to pull off the things we do or put it down because we seem "reckless" and even "uncontrollable". Little do they know that just like them, there are things we care about and we have feelings that get hurt. If you take a look at some blogs and social media pages, you notice how most of us are more relate-able than you think.
I found this website which consists of blogs and articles pertaining to the life of Generation Y. This blog caught my attention because most of the time, no one really takes the time out to talk to those who are wounded. Instead, the add alcohol to the wounds. This letter is addressing mainly those who have been deceived by what they believed to be love. This was meant to address the corruption of what we believe we deserve and how we should be treated. Sometimes it's good to have a reminder of how we SHOULD be treated in comparison to how we COULD be treated. |
When Writing The Story Of Your Life, Don’t Let Anyone Else Hold The Pen - Elitedaily.com"When Writing The Story Of Your Life, Don’t Let Anyone Else Hold The Pen" - what an inspirational quote right? Sad to say that the author is unknown; Would have been lovely to see/hear some more inspirational quotes. But before we go ahead and search for more, lets decipher this quote. When I found this, it hit home. How many times have we allowed someone else to dictate the course of our life by allowing them to make decisions for us? How many times have we given someone the chance to sit on the driver's side and watch them drive our life into disasters just because we were too afraid to drive on our own? Far too many times. As we all know, our teenage years can be considered some of our toughest years as well as some of our most fragile years, where things can be broken but fixed. This blog helped solidify the idea that no one should have control of your life. That at the end of the day, you are who builds your road to success and there shouldn't be anyone allowed to tamper with that.
This, I believe, was specifically written to motivate those who are too afraid to speak up for themselves or who are too afraid to take action because they are uncertain of the outcomes. This serves as a reminder that in life, nothing is certain, EXCEPT our willingness and passionate desire to get where we want to be. |
